Manchester United could receive funds in the final stages of the summer transfer window to help in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Corriere dello Sport recently reported that Scott McTominay has agreed on personal terms with Napoli. However, the Italian club struggle to meet Manchester United’s €30 million asking price unless they manage to sell Victor Osimhen first.
On Tuesday, more information on the McTominay filed surfaced as The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell reports that Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna traveled to England for in-person talks about McTominay, and progress is being made on the deal.

Moreover, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also provided new information on the situation involving Napoli and the Manchester United midfielder.
According to Romano, Napoli are exploring the conditions for a potential deal involving Sofyan Amrabat, who is just one of their midfield options. They’re also considering McTominay, with Manchester United still holding out for a €30 million package.

A decision is expected in the coming days over what the Serie A side will do with their pursuit to bolster their midfield. Even if the Red Devils don’t sell McTominay, The Telegraph reported this week that PSG is hopeful that the offer to defer payment will appeal to the Premier League side to pull the trigger on a Ugarte transfer.
