Paris Saint-Germain still hasn’t secured a center-back to strengthen their defense this summer. However, after missing out on targets like Leny Yoro and Dean Huijsen, they are now reportedly on the verge of landing a new center-back.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions have been eyeing several central defenders this summer to strengthen their squad, but they haven’t closed any deals yet. With just a few weeks left in the transfer window, PSG might be gearing up to secure a defender.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg initially reported that PSG are considering a move for Willian Pacho. Moreover, it didn’t take them that long to finalize a deal for the Ecuadorian defender.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an agreement for a transfer. The deal includes a fixed fee of €40 million plus add-ons, with a five-year contract for Pacho.
Payment terms have also been settled, and the documents will be reviewed within the next 24 hours. After that, Pacho will travel for a medical later this week.

If the Parisians secure Pacho, they’ll have beaten out Liverpool, who were reportedly interested in the 22-year-old as a possible replacement for Joel Matip and are prepared to offer around £50 million to bring him on board this summer.
