‘Controlled Aggression’ – Erik ten Hag Reacts to Arrival of Former PSG Standout at Manchester United

Manuel Ugarte officially made the move from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United on Friday. After both clubs confirmed the transfer, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the deal.

Multiple reports reveal that PSG will receive a fixed fee of €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons and a 10 percent sell-on clause as part of Ugarte’s transfer to Manchester United.

Furthermore, journalist Duncan Castles reported this week there are no hard feelings toward Ugarte and that PSG anticipate that Ugarte will become one of Manchester United’s top players in the future.

One person who hopes that the Uruguayan has an impact right away is manager Erik ten Hag. The Manchester United boss spoke to Sky Sports once the transfer was done and now has a new player to welcome to the midfield.

“I think he is a very good fit to Manchester United,” ten Hag said (h/t Sports Mole). “I think he is a very good fit to this team because this team needs that controlled aggression. He is a very brave player, so we will be really happy. I am sure he will really contribute to our success.”

Ten Hag will have to wait to see Ugarte in action as the transfer wasn’t done in time for this weekend’s matchup against Liverpool. As a result, his debut will come after the international break.
