Chelsea Stand Firm: €15M-Rated PSG and Real Madrid Target Not for Sale, Report Says

The Independent’s Miguel Delaney reports that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are eyeing Chelsea’s Josh Acheampong, a versatile right-back who can also play center-back.

Both clubs have him valued at about €15 million, and Chelsea might need to sell him because of their oversized squad and Profit and Sustainability Rules. Several top European clubs have recognized this situation as a chance to take advantage of some of the overstuffed squads in England.

As the summer transfer window nears its closing in just a few weeks, the French giants need to step up their efforts to fill any gaps in the squad, especially since this will be their first season without Kylian Mbappé.

However, if Acheampong is a serious target for PSG and Real Madrid, they might have to look elsewhere for a versatile defender. The Independent reported on Thursday that Chelsea are internally insisting that Acheampong is not for sale.

Moreover, Manager Enzo Maresca likes him and sees him as a big part of plans for future. Acheampong played in 19 matches last season while scoring two goals and registering three assists across all competitions.
