Victor Osimhen’s future is still uncertain, but a departure from Napoli is likely this summer. The Nigerian has been linked to various European clubs this transfer window, but one team could be out of the race already.
RadioRadio recently reported that Arsenal are making a strong push for Osimhen as the transfer window closes. However, the striker has already agreed to join PSG, who are offering him a much higher salary than Arsenal.
Additionally, journalist Ben Jacobs noted that Osimhen is becoming impatient and hopes the Serie A club will be more flexible with his release clause.
In the latest transfer news, Chelsea’s attempt to sign Osimhen has hit a major snag as the Napoli striker is reportedly not interested in moving to Stamford Bridge.
Corriere dello Sport reports (h/t The Mirror) that the prospect of joining Chelsea “does not excite” Osimhen. As a result, it also leaves Napoli in limbo with their No. 9 situation as they want to secure veteran striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Athletic reported that Chelsea and Napoli were in talks about a deal that would send Osimhen out on loan with an option to buy while Lukaku would make a permanent move to Italy to reunite with Antonio Conte.
