Chelsea Enter Race with PSG for Manchester United Winger, Ready to Cover Salary in Loan Move

The Jadon Sancho to Paris Saint-Germain rumor continues to twists and turns. One day, reports reveal that the capital club are keen on the Englishman, while the following day, information states that the reigning Ligue 1 champions no longer have interest.

On Wednesday, Jason Burt of The Telegraph reported that PSG is unlikely to pursue Sancho as he is not currently in their plans. However, Manchester United remains open to selling him.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Le Parisien’s Marc Mechenoua reported that the French giants remain interested in the Manchester United star.

According to Mechenoua, PSG have been in contact with Sancho’s representatives since the start of the summer, but they haven’t made an official offer to the Red Devils yet. Before making a move for Sancho, PSG intend to sell Manuel Ugarte and his agent first.

The latest information comes from Fussball, who reported on Friday that Chelsea and the 24-year-old forward have made significant progress in their talks. Moreover, the German outlet reveals that a move to PSG is unlikely now due to the arrival of Stade Rennes’ Désiré Doué, who has turned down Bayern Munich.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Manchester United a package deal with a transfer fee and two academy players. Alternatively, the London-based club could secure Sancho on a loan deal with an obligation to buy and cover his full salary.

Sancho’s reported annual salary of €18 million gross makes him one of Manchester United’s top earners.
