Brighton, Everton on High Alert as PSG Veteran Contacts Napoli for Potential Serie A Return

The summer transfer window has entered its final week, and clubs are racing against the clock to finalize their arrivals and sales. One player that Paris Saint-Germain reportedly wants to sell is Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar has yet to play this 2024-25 season, and manager Luis Enrique obviously demonstrates that the veteran defender isn’t part of his plans. As a result, it’s in both parties’ interest to part ways while they still can.

With the Parisians looking to move on, there are possible admirers for the Slovakian center-back. Juventus, Everton, and Brighton & Hove Albion are among the clubs that might check if Skriniar is available, per a report from Calciomercato.

Journalist Tancredi Palmeri reported on Sunday that Skriniar gave Napoli manager Antonio Conte a quick call. The defender played for Conte during the coach’s tenure at Inter Milan, so there’s a potential for a reunion.

Moreover, it would mark Skriniar’s return to Serie A, a league he has shown he’s comfortable playing in. It will be interesting to see whether Conte and Napoli proceed with this call, which likely comes from the defender’s camp.
