Bayern Munich to Return and Secure Manchester United Target from PSG in 2025, Report Says

Xavi Simons will spend the 2024-25 season on loan with RB Leipzig as Paris Saint-Germain and the player are delaying a permanent decision on his future for another year. However, one club will return next summer to secure the player.

Last month, Benjamin Quarez from Le Parisien reported that Simons is set to join RB Leipzig on loan. This arrangement lets PSG keep full control over his future for 2025 and gives them the chance to pocket 100% of any transfer fee next summer.

If Simons had been sold this summer, PSV would have received 60 percent of the fee. However, Simons never intended to return to PSG, as his real goal is to play in the Premier League, potentially in 2025, which is great news for Manchester United, who were linked to the player this summer.

Nonetheless, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Simons in 2025 and have been discussing this possibility recently. While Florian Wirtz is their top target, they know that landing him will be challenging.

During his loan spell at RB Leipzig last season, Simons made a significant impact, featuring in 43 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and registering 15 assists.
