Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué is likely aware of the strong interest he’s drawing from top European clubs such as Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, with his participation at the 2024 Summer Olympics now over, his future should be cleared up.
According to a recent report from Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, Bayern Munich has pulled ahead of PSG in the race for Doué, with their offer coming closer to what Rennes is asking for. RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins also noted that Bayern currently holds a slight edge over PSG in the pursuit of the player.
The latest information comes from Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who reported on Saturday that Doué is of high priority for the Bundesliga club. Bayern Munich are eager to secure the 19-year-old top talent this year.
There’s already a verbal agreement in place, as the club’s leaders are really impressed with the player. Doué is eager to join Bayern, and a final decision is expected soon. It’s not a done deal yet, as PSG is still in the mix.

Doué had an impressive 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games across all competitions and tallying four goals and six assists for Rennes.
