Barcelona See Bayern Munich Standout as Nico Williams Backup Plan Amid PSG Links, Report Says

Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich has seen his name in the rumor mill this summer transfer window. The gossip has gone cold over the last few days, but a potential departure is heating up again, with FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain as options for the player.

L’Équipe recently reported that Bayern Munich are considering selling Coman this summer because of concerns about his injury history, high salary, and his omission from manager Vincent Kompany’s plans for the upcoming season.

Moreover, Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sport Germany reported that Bayern Munich are open to letting Coman leave on loan, potentially with an option or obligation to buy, and ongoing talks with PSG.

The latest information on the Coman file comes from Sky Sports News, which reports that Coman is Barcelona’s backup option if they can’t land Nico Williams since manager Hansi Flick holds the former PSG youth player in high regard.

Last season, Coman made 27 appearances for Bayern Munich, where he scored five goals and recorded three assists. The 28-year-old could be on the move soon with the summer transfer window entering its final stretch before it closes.

It will be interesting to see if Coman lands with Barcelona, PSG, or perhaps another club swoops in for the 2020 UEFA Champions League winner.
