Barcelona Begins Talks for Nico Williams Alternative Amid Links to PSG Target, Romano Says

Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman might be heading for a transfer in the next few weeks, as the summer window is closing soon. The French winger has caught the attention of clubs like FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain with the Catalan side looking to pull ahead.

Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sport Germany recently mentioned that Bayern Munich is considering the possibility of loaning out Coman, potentially with an option or obligation to buy, and discussions with PSG are ongoing.

On top of that, Sky Sports News reported last week that Barcelona is looking at Coman as a backup plan if they can’t land Nico Williams. Manager Hansi Flick holds the former PSG youth player in high regard.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared on Monday that Barcelona is beginning to talk about potential wingers since there hasn’t been any progress on the Nico Williams deal.

Coman could leave Bayern Munich on an initial loan, and he’s one of the options on their shortlist. There’s interest from several clubs, but his salary is quite high. Still, Hansi Flick is a fan of his talent.

Last season, Coman made 27 appearances for Bayern Munich, where he scored five goals and recorded three assists. These final weeks will be interesting to see where the player lands to continue his career.
