Paris Saint-Germain might be adding another experienced player to their midfield as they renew their interest in Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich. However, they may need to be patient if they want to secure the German international.

Kimmich has one year left on his contract, and it seems the German giants might have to accept his departure as a free agent. As a result, Bayern Munich could miss out on securing a transfer fee.

Le Parisien’s Marc Mechenoua reports that PSG have been trying to sign Kimmich for several months, but he has no plans to leave Bayern Munich this summer. Instead, he intends to stay until his contract expires and then leave as a free agent in 2025.

Moreover, France isn’t Kimmich’s top choice if he does move; he prefers Spain or England. When asked about PSG’s interest, his representatives declined to comment on the rumors.

As a result, it will be interesting to see if the Parisians can land the veteran midfielder who is also reportedly linked to FC Barcelona. Still, considering the complications, this file might be one that the reigning Ligue 1 champions should discard.
