The transfer rumors linking Julian Álvarez to Paris Saint-Germain are growing louder as the capital club revisit this file for the Manchester City star. While reports also link the Argentine to Arsenal and Chelsea, it’s Atlético Madrid looking to gain an edge.
Álvarez might be looking to leave Pep Guardiola and his team this summer for a more prominent role elsewhere. In the 2023-24 season, the 24-year-old played in 54 matches for Manchester City, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.
Recently, ESPN Argentina reported that PSG’s interest in Álvarez is growing stronger. The Parisians plan to have concrete talks with Manchester City next week to discuss a potential transfer of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner to PSG.
On Friday, more information surfaced this time from TyC Sports’ César Luis Merlo, who reports that Atlético Madrid are advancing in negotiations to sign Julián Álvarez, having already held several meetings with Álvarez’s representatives and they’re now seeking to reach an agreement with Manchester City.
