Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida has attracted interest from several top European clubs as a potential summer signing. Earlier in the summer, there was speculation that the 24-year-old might join Paris Saint-Germain, but the rumors have gone quiet since late June.
In June, Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany reported that Geertruida was more likely to join PSG than any club in the Premier League or Bundesliga. PSG had serious talks with Geertruida’s representatives, with a price tag of around €25 million. However, July came and went without any deal being finalized.
A few days ago, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Aston Villa have entered the race and are targeting Geertruida to bolster its backline for the upcoming season. There’s also new information on this file as the summer window enters its final stretch before it closes.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported on Sunday that Geertruida to RB Leipzig is unlikely at this stage. Moreover, he confirmed PSG’s interest in the defender a few weeks ago.

A move to the Premier League seems like the most likely option, with several teams showing interest in the 24-year-old right-back. Last season, Geertruida scored eight goals and recorded five assists in the Eredivisie.
