Victor Osimhen’s future is still uncertain, but a departure from Napoli is likely this summer. Nonetheless, new information reveals the stance that Chelsea have on the Nigerian striker.
RadioRadio recently reported that Arsenal are making a strong push for Osimhen as the transfer window closes. However, the striker has already agreed to join PSG, who are offering him a much higher salary than Arsenal.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Osimhen isn’t thrilled about the idea of joining Chelsea. This puts Napoli in a tricky spot with their striker situation, as they’re keen on bringing in Romelu Lukaku.
Nonetheless, journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Chelsea are still negotiating for Osimhen, with discussions including a loan deal with a buy option. Moreover, Osimhen is open to joining Chelsea but prefers a permanent move.
Although his agent, Roberto Calenda, has denied any “fantasy exchange” rumors, Chelsea and Napoli are exploring various loan structures and wage arrangements for Osimhen.

Chelsea has not set a maximum wage for Osimhen, which could break their wage structure. However, since they are not in the Champions League this season, all new signings must accept a wage decrease compared to Champions League salaries.
A loan deal with an option or obligation to buy—possibly contingent on Champions League qualification—could be agreed upon, especially as Napoli recognizes that PSG won’t overpay or trigger the release clause, and Al-Ahli has yet to bid.
