Julian Álvarez might be leaving Manchester City as the Argentine seeks a bigger role. He’s been linked to Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Atlético Madrid, and Chelsea. However, it appears the La Liga side are on the verge of winning the transfer race.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Arsenal are considering a move for Álvarez, but the London club may need to offload some players to finance the transfer, as Manchester City is reportedly asking between €80 million and €90 million.
Meanwhile, TyC Sports’ Gastón Edul reported that PSG have made a higher offer to Manchester City for Álvarez than Atlético Madrid has. However, Atlético still has a slight edge due to their location.
Despite all these reports, The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Atlético Madrid are nearing an agreement with Manchester City to sign Álvarez. While a final deal has not yet been reached, negotiations are focused on the final price and payment structure.
