On Sunday, Samu Omorodion’s transfer to Chelsea fell through, leading the club to explore other options to strengthen their No. 9 position.
As a result, the Blues are renewing their interest in Victor Osimhen, who is linked to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain. Still, the Nigerian striker continues to wait on a potential move to the French capital.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported this week that Chelsea are still interested in Osimhen. They’re aiming for a loan deal, but his current salary is a hurdle, so they’ll need to find a compromise to make it happen.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported on Wednesday that the Napoli star still wants to join the Parisians since the French giants are definitely his desired destination.
Plettenberg adds that Chelsea are still trying to sign the 25-year-old striker and has heard that Arsenal made a casual inquiry a few weeks ago.
However, Osimhen isn’t actively seeking a move to the Premier League at the moment. His preference is still Paris, but progress can’t be made since Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos are both under contract.

Since transferring from Ligue 1’s LOSC Lille to Napoli, the Nigerian international has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances, including 65 goals in Serie A. Osimhen was also pivotal in securing Napoli’s league title in the 2022-23 season.
