Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué has caught the eye of several top European clubs this summer. Despite this interest, the French club are determined to keep him unless they receive an acceptable offer.
Recently, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Tottenham Hotspur are feeling internal pressure to secure Doué, whose value could increase further if he performs well at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Romano also mentions that Spurs’ scouts are advocating strongly for Doué to strengthen their squad. Journalist Ben Jacobs reported the latest on this file and perhaps the internal pressure is working for Tottenham.
According to Jacobs, Tottenham are currently leading among Premier League clubs in the Doué case. They’ve already contacted the player’s representatives and begun talks with Stade Rennais.

Spurs aren’t the only club keen on the player as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham are all interested in the teenager.
The 19-year-old had a standout 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games and racking up four goals and six assists in all competitions for the Ligue 1 team. It will be interesting to see if Spurs beat the competition or if their efforts fall short.
