Real Madrid reportedly aren’t worried about Manchester United making a £42 million bid for LOSC Lille defender Leny Yoro, which the French club has accepted. The Daily Mail reports that those within the English side declined to comment on the rumors.
Yoro has already showcased his talent by playing in 44 matches during the 2023-24 season. This demonstrates that he’s ready to take on a starting center-back role at a top European club, where the pressure to perform is intense.
Moreover, Lille must sell the player this summer, considering the youngster’s contract expires in 2025. Real Madrid want to use this leverage and Yoro’s desire to move to Los Blancos to secure a beneficial transfer.
Despite interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain, the teenager rejects anyone that isn’t the Spanish giants. According to transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are staying cool and collected about the Yoro situation, despite Manchester United’s bid.
They know Yoro prefers to join them, so they plan to secure the deal this summer under their terms, keeping it under €60 million, or wait until June 2025 to sign him as a free agent.
