Kylian Mbappé was presented as a Real Madrid player this week, but the 25-year-old still has one issue with Paris Saint-Germain: his wages.
Last month, L’Equipe reported that Mbappé is demanding €100 million from PSG for unpaid bonuses and salaries, covering wages owed for April and May. Reports indicated that Mbappé verbally agreed to waive €55 million in due bonuses, but this agreement never altered his contract.
PSG claims that Mbappé verbally committed to giving up €80 million in loyalty bonuses and salary, but no formal agreement was signed. The club hoped the now Real Madrid player would sign this deal, but relations soured, and it never happened.
The situation regarding Mbappé’s wages is getting tense. ESPN reports that Mbappé, through his mother Fayza Lamari, has threatened to sue PSG if they don’t pay his unpaid salaries and bonuses.

According to the report, PSG allegedly owes Mbappé €80 million in bonuses and two months’ wages from 2024. The club is reportedly refusing to pay these amounts in an effort to recover funds related to his expected departure, which Mbappé apparently agreed to in August.
While both sides have moved on, they cannot officially do so until the situation regarding his wages is resolved.
