Real Madrid Joins Race to Rival Manchester United for PSG Midfielder, Report Says

Manchester United are looking at Manuel Ugarte to strengthen its midfield this summer. The talented player from Paris Saint-Germain has also caught the eye of other clubs, such as AC Milan and Atlético Madrid.

However, more clubs are entering this race. A few days ago, Le10Sport reported that Manchester City and FC Barcelona are also keen on the player, but there’s another team keen on Ugarte.

The 23-year-old’s performance at the 2024 Copa América could attract suitors or cause clubs keen on him to pull the trigger. Journalist Abdellah Boulma reports that Real Madrid has started showing interest in signing Ugarte.

Manchester United remain interested in the Uruguayan, but their offer doesn’t meet PSG’s demands. A recent report revealed that the Premier League club proposes a €45 million plus several bonuses bid for Ugarte.

PSG manager Luis Enrique is now in charge of the decision regarding Ugarte. Initially, PSG wasn’t looking to sell. However, given the interest, the club has been listening to offers. It will be interesting to see if they lower their demands to sell, especially if the player is keen on leaving.
