PSG’s Pursuit of Leeds United Star Hits Standstill as Crystal Palace, Newcastle Consider Move

Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville is reportedly on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar for a potential transfer. PSG has also shown interest in other talented wingers, such as Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.

Summerville played 49 games for Leeds United across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists for the Championship team.

According to a recent report from ESPN NL, PSG and Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Summerville. Furthermore, the report reveals that new Reds coach Arne Solt has already spoken with the player.

Leeds United Live reports that the Crysencio Summerville situation at PSG has hit a standstill. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are gearing up to make moves soon.

Amid interest from clubs like Liverpool and PSG, journalist Ben Jacobs spoke to Give Me Sport about the 22-year-old’s latest developments.

“PSG haven’t bid yet, but the interest is real, and as I say, there’s a handful of Premier League clubs that could still enter the race as well,” Jacobs told the outlet.

“[Summerville has] always been very respectful. He’s always been very appreciative of Leeds and how they’ve helped him develop, and he likes it there. And as I said in January, Summerville was never pushing to leave Leeds.”

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Liverpool or PSG might need to shell out between £35 million and £40 million to secure the Dutch winger.
