Over the last few months, Napoli standout Victor Osimhen has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain. Nonetheless, the Osimhen connection is back as the transfer window is open, and the rumors are swirling.
Following his move from Ligue 1’s LOSC Lille to Napoli, the Nigerian international has scored 76 goals in 133 games, 65 of which were in Serie A. Osimhen also played a crucial role in Napoli’s march to winning the 2022-23 league championship.
Napoli’s new coach, Antonio Conte, still hopes to bring Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku to the Stadio Maradona. However, the team will need to find a new club for Osimhen first.
Reports from Corriere dello Sport (h/t Football Italia) indicate that PSG is still the most likely European destination for Osimhen, though Al-Ahli is reported to be interested in Saudi Arabia.
PSG is still searching for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is headed to Real Madrid. They had briefly considered signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli, but those talks didn’t go well with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
According to Corriere dello Sport, PSG might resume negotiations with Napoli for Osimhen. If successful, this move could pave the way for Conte to secure a deal for Lukaku.
