Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Manchester City striker Julian Álvarez, who could be looking for a more prominent role than he’s currently getting in the Premier League.
Last season, the 24-year-old played 54 matches for Manchester City, racking up 19 goals and 13 assists. With numbers like these, it’s easy to see why the Argentine is eager for a regular spot in the starting lineup.
Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that PSG are on the hunt for a striker this summer. Two names that have come up are Victor Osimhen and Julián Álvarez. However, prying Álvarez away from Manchester City could be challenging, as they are keen to hold onto him.

Nonetheless, Marcos Benito of El Chiringuito reports that Álvarez has requested to leave Manchester City. The Argentine turned down a contract extension and an improved deal at the end of the season (his current contract runs until 2028).

Álvarez asks the club to set a reasonable transfer fee for his departure. Last month, it was reported that Manchester City intends to stand firm and hold onto the player despite the suitors’ keen interest.
According to CaughtOffside, Álvarez remains a significant player for manager Pep Guardiola and City.
