Rayan Cherki from Olympique Lyonnais has caught the attention of several big European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, this summer transfer window.
However, it was Borussia Dortmund that won the sweepstakes. Despite the Frenchman wanting to play for the German giants, they have yet to finalize a transfer.
Journalist Patrick Berger reports that the transfer of Cherki to Dortmund is stalling. The discussions are at a standstill, and manager Nuri Sahin is not entirely convinced by the Frenchman’s arrival.
L’Equipe reports that PSG might make a move for Cherki in the next few days. He hasn’t signed with Dortmund yet, even though there was an agreement in place with OL.

The French media outlet previously reported that PSG put in an initial bid of €15 million with an extra €3 million in bonuses. However, Lyon turned down the offer, insisting on a substantial sell-on clause as part of any deal.
Cherki’s contract expires next year, and if he isn’t keen on renewing it, OL will need to sell the player now. The youngster also made 39 appearances, scoring three goals and registering nine assists for Lyon.
