Manchester United are eyeing Manuel Ugarte to strengthen their midfield this summer and Paris Saint-Germain are open to other ways of getting a transfer done between the two sides.
Though it appears the negotiations are at a standstill, CaughtOffside recently reported that PSG might have reduced their asking price for the midfielder. According to their report, PSG have set a €59 million price tag for Ugarte, and the gap between this and Manchester United’s offer isn’t too significant.
Ugarte has already agreed to personal terms with the Red Devils, but the information from CaughtOffside notes that the midfielder wants the clubs to agree on the fee before deciding to join the Premier League giants.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided the latest on the Ugarte file and he reports that PSG are open to letting Ugarte go on loan with a mandatory purchase clause.
Ideally, they want a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an obligation to buy. Ugarte has already agreed to personal terms with Manchester United and is now waiting for the two clubs to finalize the agreement.

Manchester United are reportedly exploring other options and have shown interest in Sporting CP’s Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand, who recently dazzled with a stunning goal against England at Euro 2024. This shift in focus comes as the club is hesitant to meet the asking price for Ugarte.
Yes, that is the good option let them bring ugarte on loan after they get him on permanent deal because where it has reached we need to strengthen our team before the premier league starts we need to be strong for our opponents come next season 👍🙏🙏🙏
I think it’s a good deal on both sides, having him on loan with an obligation to buy sign him permanently next summer, man utd are finding it difficult moving players on like casemiro, mc tominay & the rest. Moving those 2 will be easier to sign urgarte permanently
We need to strengthen in midfield before the season starts and we should be doing all we can to get Ugarte or Zubimendi over the line whether this is on loan with option to buy or whatever it takes.
We got caught out in midfield last season by leaving a huge hole there at times. Amrabat did do a great job in last 3 games there.
I am in support of what you are saying. We need competent midfielders to start the season, we should do all that we can , whether buying him outright or on loan. Maguire was around ninety million pounds.
Its a welcome idea. That will allow Casemiro to stay for a season incase Ugarte not pick form quickly as it will be a new team, eviroment and philosophy to him.
Not really a bad idea any of ugarte and zubimendi can do the job
