Napoli are reportedly nearing a deal to sign Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker is on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar and is expected to make a move either to the French capital or another destination.
The rumors involving Lukaku and Osimhen have gained more fuel. Diario AS reported that Napoli manager Antonio Conte confirmed the rumors before the friendly match against Mantova on Saturday.
Moreover, Italian outlets Corriere Della Sera and Corriere Dello Sport report that next week will be crucial for finalizing the Osimhen deal. Both clubs are working hard to reach an agreement, with some economic details still needing to be ironed out.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Osimhen is on board with PSG’s project and is keen on making the move. Discussions regarding personal terms are underway and are expected to go smoothly.
On Friday, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Napoli and Lukaku have agreed on personal terms. The Chelsea striker is set to earn €6 million per season over three years, plus bonuses and the only obstacle left is deciding on the transfer fee.
Nonetheless, it seems that the Serie A side have Osimhen’s replacement ready to go once the player departs, whether that’s to PSG or elsewhere.
