Paris Saint-Germain are eager to sign SL Benfica’s midfielder João Neves, who has caught the attention of several top European clubs. Earlier this month, Benfica’s sporting director, Rui Costa, rejected two offers of €70 million.

A few days ago, a report from A Bola confirmed that the Parisians offered €70 million, but their information also notes that Manchester United had submitted €60 million for the player. Despite these offers, Benfica are holding out for a fee closer to his €120 million release clause.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins provided new information on this file and noted that PSG are keen on securing Neves and Joshua Kimmich.

Neves is their top priority, eager to leave Benfica for PSG, but negotiations are stalled due to Benfica’s high asking price. If PSG manages to sign Neves and Kimmich, it could lead to the departure of a midfielder, potentially Fabián Ruiz.

Last month, a report from Sports Zone revealed that Neves wants to join PSG this summer, as Luís Campos and Luis Enrique have convinced him.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, supports the move but insists the club sells some midfielders first. However, PSG refuses to pay his release clause.
