PSG Highly Appreciates Liverpool, Man City Target for Midfield Boost, Romano Says

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer, and a familiar name is back in the rumors. Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich has been linked with a move to PSG over the past few months.

The speculation had died down, but the German player is again mentioned as a potential transfer to the French capital. According to a recent report from CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in the veteran.

A recent report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano notes that PSG’s interest in Kimmich does not depend on João Neves—both are separate files for PSG. Moreover, Romano provided an update on the capital club’s pursuit of the Bayern Munich veteran.

“Joshua Kimmich is really appreciated by people at PSG,” Romano notes. “The club already wanted to try and make something happen with Bayern Munich for Kimmich in January. Keep an eye on PSG and also Premier League clubs for Kimmich this summer.”

Kimmich is not expected to be offered a new contract, so it seems that the Bundesliga side will be open to selling the player. The midfielder’s contract expires in 2025, so this is Bayern Munich’s only window to secure a fee for the midfielder.
