Napoli are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker is attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and is expected to move either to the French capital or another destination soon.
The speculation surrounding Lukaku and Osimhen has intensified. Napoli manager Conte opted to exclude Osimhen from the squad for their preseason friendly against Mantova, despite the striker being in good health and free of physical issues.
Journalist Nicolò Schira reports that PSG have reached an agreement with the 25-year-old’s camp on personal terms. According to Schira, a new round of talks is expected this week between PSG and Napoli as they work towards finalizing a deal for Osimhen.
The player has already agreed to personal terms with Paris, including a contract through 2029 with an annual salary of €14 million plus bonuses.

Last week, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Napoli and Romelu Lukaku have reached an agreement on personal terms. The Chelsea striker is expected to earn €6 million per season over a three-year contract, with additional bonuses. The final hurdle is negotiating the transfer fee to secure the player that will likely replace Osimhen.
Since transferring from Ligue 1’s LOSC Lille to Napoli, the Nigerian international has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances, including 65 goals in Serie A. Osimhen was also pivotal in securing Napoli’s league title in the 2022-23 season.
