Napoli Star Grows Impatient with Stalled PSG Transfer; Chelsea Veteran’s Move Left in Limbo

The potential arrival of Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen to Paris Saint-Germain has gone cold over the last few days. During this month’s saga, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the Nigerian had approved PSG’s project and is eager for the transfer to proceed.

However, since then, there has been no further information on the Parisians’ reaching an agreement with Napoli over Osimhen and a difference of opinion regarding the striker.

L’Equipe recently reported that Osimhen is still keen on joining PSG, and sporting advisor Luís Campos holds him in high regard. However, talks with Napoli have hit a snag due to their demands, and PSG manager Luis Enrique isn’t interested in pursuing Osimhen at the moment.

The latest information comes from journalist Ben Jacobs, who reports that PSG are still interested in Osimhen, but negotiations haven’t made much progress. Osimhen is growing impatient and hopes Napoli will ease their stance on his release clause.

While Saudi dealmakers are keeping an eye on the situation, Osimhen currently prefers to stay in Europe. However, he hasn’t completely ruled out a move to Saudi Arabia, especially after being tempted by Al-Hilal a year ago. Al-Ahli has also considered him as a potential option.

This hurdle also prevents Napoli from proceeding with a replacement. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t GOAL), Napoli is uncertain about who their No. 9 will be for the upcoming season.

Despite their attempts to sell Osimhen, who has a £110 million release clause, the Nigerian striker is still with the club. Chelsea veteran Romelu Lukaku will only arrive if the 25-year-old leaves.
