Napoli have agreed to personal terms with Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku to replace Victor Osimhen. The Nigeran goal scorer is on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar and is likely to leave elsewhere, whether it’s the French capital or elsewhere.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Osimhen has approved PSG’s project and is eager for the transfer to proceed. Negotiations on personal terms are currently in progress and are unlikely to be a sticking point.
Romano also reports that Napoli has already lined up a replacement for Osimhen. According to him, Chelsea veteran Romelu Lukaku has told Napoli he’s ready to join them if Osimhen leaves this summer, and he’s excited about the chance to work with manager Antonio Conte again.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Friday that Napoli and Lukaku have reached an agreement on terms. The Chelsea striker will earn €6 million per season over three years, plus bonuses.
The remaining hurdle is settling on the transfer fee. Chelsea are holding out for €35 million, while Napoli hope to spend less. Meanwhile, PSG are actively pursuing a deal for Victor Osimhen, and next week could be crucial in finalizing the transfer.
