Manchester United are eyeing Manuel Ugarte to strengthen their midfield this summer, and the English club have reportedly received a boost on this file.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently shared that PSG are open to loaning Ugarte, but they want a mandatory purchase clause included. Their preference is for a permanent transfer or a loan that comes with an obligation to buy.

Ugarte has already settled on personal terms with Manchester United and is now waiting for the two clubs to wrap up the agreement. The sticking point, however, is that the Premier League team hasn’t been able to agree on a transfer fee yet.

New information from Romano reveals that Ugarte is still expected to leave PSG. He has agreed personal terms with Manchester United several days ago and is waiting for the Red Devils to make a move.

Moreover, CaughtOffside recently reported, citing sources, that Manchester United are interested in PSV Eindhoven’s 25-year-old midfielder, Joey Veerman.

As a result, the Premier League club could be looking at alternative targets if they cannot agree to terms with PSG over a transfer fee.
