Over the past few days, Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho. The 24-year-old is also with the Premier League club on their summer tour in the United States after manager Erik ten Hag stated they have “drawn a line” under their differences.
Journalist Ben Jacobs provided an update on Sunday, noting that there’s still no significant progress between PSG and Sancho. While Sancho remains a potential target, despite ongoing rumors, there haven’t been any new agreements or advancements over the past week.
TalkSPORT’s Gabby Agbonlahor spoke on Thursday and noted that he believes Sancho doesn’t want to play for Manchester United and the Premier League side doesn’t want the player.
“I don’t think Sancho wants to play for Man United again,” Agbonlahor said on the English outlet. “I don’t think ten Hag wants Sancho at Manchester United again because he doesn’t start.
“Where does he start? He’s got [Marcus] Rashford, [Alejandro] Garnacho, [and] [Joshua] Zirkzee, as well, signed as well. He’s not going to play. So I think he will leave and the makeup will help Manchester United get the money that they feel that he deserves to go for.”
Sancho was on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2023-24 season, playing a crucial role in helping the German club reach the UEFA Champions League final. PSG had a close-up view of his skills during their semifinal match against Dortmund.
Last season, the Englishman played 24 total matches between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund while scoring three goals and registering three assists.
