Last month, a report revealed that Paris Saint-Germain was in the mix for Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt. Moreover, if the capital club wants the Dutchman, they have received good news.
This week, Manchester United announced the arrival of Leny Yoro from LOSC Lille, which put the Red Devils’ pursuit of de Ligt in question. Recent reports suggest that the Premier League club are keen on the player, but there’s a financial limit.
Journalist Graeme Bailey reported that Bayern Munich are holding out for £42 million, whereas the English side are reluctant to go beyond £34 million. New information arrived on the de Ligt file courtesy of Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
According to Plettenberg, Manchester United won’t be bringing de Ligt on board as long as Bayern Munich are holding out for €50M plus bonuses. It’s looking unlikely that this transfer will happen.
🚨 Manchester United will not sign Matthijs de Ligt as long as Bayern Munich insists on €50M + bonus. A transfer is unlikely at this point.
Therefore, the German club will not advance in their move for Jonathan Tah. ❌

PSG are actively considering Juventus center-back Dean Huijsen, who spent last season on loan at AS Roma, as they look to strengthen their defense. However, if Manchester United are out on de Ligt, perhaps the Ligue 1 side will revisit this file.
