Over the last couple of weeks, Manuel Ugarte has been linked to a move away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Moreover, the 23-year-old’s name is consistently linked to Manchester United.

Ugarte’s performance at the 2024 Copa América could attract suitors or cause clubs keen on him to pull the trigger. The talented player from Uruguay has also caught the eye of other clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester City, and Real Madrid.

As a result, the Red Devils could move quickly to secure Ugarte before another club offers him another tempting deal. O Jogo reports that Manchester United are advancing to sign Ugarte, which will allow PSG to secure his replacement.

The Portuguese outlet adds that Ugarte’s move to the Premier League club paves the way for João Neves to join PSG, with Jorge Mendes handling both transfers.

PSG manager Luis Enrique and sporting advisor Luís Campos are prioritizing Neves as a critical signing for PSG, and Ugarte’s sale will enable the club to make a higher bid to Benfica for him.

A recent report revealed that Manchester United proposes a €45 million plus several bonuses bid for Ugarte. Still, Enrique is now in charge of the decision regarding Ugarte as initially, PSG wasn’t looking to sell.
