On Thursday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester United and Manuel Ugarte have agreed on personal terms, taking the first steps towards his move to Old Trafford.
Romano said the contract details have been worked out, and the player is excited to join Manchester United, even though they’re not in the UEFA Champions League.
Now, the next step is for the Red Devils to settle on a transfer fee with Paris Saint-Germain to wrap up the deal. There’s more information coming from Romano as reports that Ugarte’s situation hasn’t changed.
It’s not something that’s going to be resolved today or tomorrow. The situation will need to wait a few days to see how things develop between Manchester United and PSG.

Journalist Ben Jacobs also reported that PSG are sticking to their valuation of Ugarte and isn’t in a rush to sell him.
Additionally, L’Equipe mentioned that the club is asking for €70 million for Ugarte, despite the Uruguayan having already agreed to terms with Manchester United.
It will be interesting to see if the two sides can work to an agreement considering the Premier League side does have alternative targets to bolster their midfield this summer.
