Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte is reportedly poised for a summer transfer, with speculation linking him to several top European clubs, notably attracting interest from Manchester United.
Over the weekend, journalist Ben Jacobs disclosed that Manchester United and Bayern Munich have expressed interest in signing the Uruguayan midfielder. However, their offers have fallen short of PSG’s €60 million asking price for Ugarte.
This month, Le10Sport reported that the English side sent a proposal of €45 million plus several bonuses, which has prompted internal discussions. The latest information comes from journalist Jamie Jackson, who reports Manchester United remain keen on Ugarte.
According to Jackson, Manager Erik ten Hag still wants Ugarte to help bolster their midfield. Selling Casemiro might be necessary to fund Ugarte’s potential £38 million acquisition, but a loan deal could also be considered.

CaughtOffside reported on Monday that Crystal Palace ace Adam Wharton is on Manchester United’s radar. It will be interesting to see if this is just a backup plan for Manchester United or if they will go for Ugarte or SL Benfica’s João Neves.
