Man Utd Enjoy ‘Very Good’ Relationship with PSG Ace’s Agent Amid Rumors, Romano Says

Manchester United are considering Manuel Ugarte to bolster their midfield this summer. Journalist Christopher Michel recently reported that the Red Devils are now pushing to sign Ugarte.

This week, Le10Sport reported that manager Luis Enrique is now in charge of deciding Ugarte’s future. Initially, PSG wasn’t planning to sell him, but due to the interest, the club has started listening to offers.

Moreover, the Red Devils have made a proposal of €45 million plus several bonuses, sparking internal discussions. Now, Enrique has to decide whether to veto the move and ask the management to reject all offers or let Ugarte go and plan for a midfield without him.

With rumors swirling, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano gave his thoughts about Manchester United’s pursuit of Ugarte.

“There is still some work to do,” Romano told Give Me Sport. “I’m told that there is still a direct discussion between Manchester United and PSG, but still not an official bid.

“So Paris Saint-Germain are waiting for Manchester United to present a proposal to decide how much they want to invest in Ugarte, and then they can decide on the future of the player. But for sure, Ugarte is on the list, and the relationship with the player’s agent is very good. So United are on it.”

Uruguay’s 2024 Copa América ended on Wednesday after their semifinal loss to Colombia. As a result, Ugarte’s future should become more transparent in the coming days once La Celeste finishes playing in the third-place game.
