Man Utd and PSG Closing in on Deal for Midfielder Determined to Leave Paris, Report Says

Manchester United are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer, with Manuel Ugarte on their radar. According to a recent report from journalist Christopher Michel, the Red Devils are actively pursuing a deal to sign Ugarte.

Additionally, on Monday, Le10Sport reported that the English side’s proposal, which is said to be €45 million plus several bonuses, has prompted internal discussions

On Tuesday, another update about Ugarte potentially heading to Old Trafford this summer surfaced. Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna and Sébastien Denis report that Ugarte has decided on his future as he is ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain since he feels he no longer fits into manager Luis Enrique’s plans.

Moreover, talks are progressing positively between PSG and Manchester United – a deal being agreed is getting closer. The previous report from Michel revealed that the French club wants £50 million while the Premier League side believes £35 million is realistic.

The two clubs could meet in the middle somewhere if they want to work out a deal that benefits all parties. Once Uruguay’s run in the 2024 Copa América wraps up, Ugarte’s future should become more evident.

Ugarte scored the decisive goal in the penalty shootout last Saturday against Brazil, propelling La Celeste to the semifinals.
