Manchester City striker Julian Álvarez could be on the move this summer as the Argentine could be looking for a more prominent role than he’s currently getting with the Premier League side.
Last season, the 24-year-old played 54 matches for Manchester City, racking up 19 goals and 13 assists. With numbers like these, it’s easy to see why the Argentine is eager for a regular spot in the starting lineup.
On Friday, Marcos Benito from El Chiringuito reported that Álvarez has asked to leave Manchester City. The Argentine rejected a contract extension and a better deal at the end of the season; his current contract runs until 2028.
Álvarez asks the club to set a reasonable transfer fee for his departure. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided more information regarding the 24-year-old.
According to Romano, Álvarez and his agents will have talks with Manchester City to discuss his future after the Copa America final. He wants to play more. City have never wanted to negotiate as PSG is interested in the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.
