FC Barcelona might not be the only club looking to use an inside track to land Athletic Club’s Nico Williams. Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain are working on negotiating personal terms with Williams.

According to a report from CaughtOffside last month, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona, and PSG are all interested in Williams. However, it’s the Catalan side who could receive help.

Recent information from SPORT reveals that Nike might encourage Barcelona to sign Williams, as they believe his addition could generate substantial revenue. Still, the Parisians could be using their inside track to beat the Spanish side.

RMC Sport’s Daniel Riolo reports that PSG have made signing Williams their top priority. With manager Luis Enrique playing a key role in persuading the player, the transfer is highly likely to go through.

This summer, Williams has attracted the attention of several top European clubs aiming to bolster their attacks. His standout performance at UEFA Euro 2024, where he was instrumental in Spain’s victory, has significantly increased his value.

He also impressed at the club level, making 37 appearances across all competitions for Athletic Club last season. He scored eight goals and provided 19 assists, contributing to the team’s success in winning the 2024 Copa del Rey.
