Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that Napoli and Romelu Lukaku have agreed on personal terms. The Chelsea striker is set to earn €6 million per season on a three-year contract, plus additional bonuses.

Lukaku is expected to replace Victor Osimhen, who has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain again. This likely prompted Napoli to prepare for a new striker. However, recent reports indicate that PSG’s interest in Osimhen has cooled.

According to Le10Sport, PSG currently has no plans to sign a new No. 9. Luis Enrique plans to start the 2024-2025 season with Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani. Unless one of them departs, Paris won’t be looking to fill this position.

Di Marzio also reported (h/t The Mirror) that Antonio Conte is interested in bringing Romelu Lukaku to Napoli. However, Napoli must negotiate a lower asking price with Chelsea first.

With Napoli contemplating the sale of Victor Osimhen, Lukaku could be a strong replacement, especially given his successful stint with Conte at Inter Milan.

Chelsea is ready to lower their asking price from €44 million (£37 million) to about €35 million (£29.4 million), but Napoli is hoping for an even more significant reduction to €25 million (£21 million). Lukaku is eager for the move and is willing to accept a substantial wage cut to make it happen.
