Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to spend nearly €60 million on Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué and one French football legend is advising the teenager to join the capital club.
The young talent from Stade Rennais is attracting the attention of top European clubs. Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are linked to signing him, and the Parisians are moving quickly to secure his transfer.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg recently reported that PSG has made a new offer for Doué, amounting to €60 million, including add-ons. Bayern Munich have yet to raise their bid, which currently stands at €55 million all-in. The Bundesliga side are contemplating their next move but has set clear limits on their spending.
Sports Zone reports that Thierry Henry, France’s Olympic team manager, has advised Désiré Doué to choose PSG over Bayern Munich. While Henry will support Doué’s decision regardless of which club he picks, he personally prefers to see Doué join the Parisians this summer.

Doué had an impressive 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games across all competitions and tallying four goals and six assists for Rennes. Additionally, his stock could rise further with a strong showing for France at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
