CaughtOffside reports, citing sources, that Chelsea is still in touch with the player’s agent regarding personal terms, and talks are progressing well. Enzo Maresca’s team considers the Nigerian a key target and is keen on including some players in a potential deal with Napoli to lower the asking price.
Ideally, they hope to spend less than £45 million for a new striker. The two clubs are currently discussing a valuation difference for Romelu Lukaku, which is around £8.4 million. However, as the days go by, that gap could decrease significantly.
