Le Parisien’s Benjamin Quarez recently revealed that Bayern Munich made a bold move for Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué. However, their €35 million offer was turned down as it fell short of Rennes’ expectations.
Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly interested in the teenager. The 19-year-old had a standout 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games and racking up four goals and six assists in all competitions for the Ligue 1 team.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that PSG and Bayern Munich are in close competition to sign Doué, with both clubs making strong efforts to land the player.
Nonetheless, L’ÉQUIPE reports that Chelsea are ready to rival Tottenham, Bayern Munich and PSG for Doué. Numerous top clubs are showing interest in the young talent, but the French media outlet also reports that Rennes demands over €60 million for him.

This explains why the Ligue 1 club has reportedly rejected Bayern Munich’s offer. It will be interesting to see if the Blues jump in and secure the player over these other top clubs.
