L’ÉQUIPE reported this weekend that Chelsea are ready to rival Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué.
Numerous top clubs are showing interest in the young talent, but the French media outlet also reports that Rennes demands over €60 million for him.
The 19-year-old had a standout 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games and racking up four goals and six assists in all competitions for the Ligue 1 team.
Le Parisien’s Benjamin Quarez recently reported that the German club have made an official bid worth €35 million, including bonuses for Désiré Doué—Rennes have rejected it since the offer doesn’t match their demands.
Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Doué is a viable choice for the current Ligue 1 champions, who are keen on young French talent. Tottenham and Bayern are also serious contenders.

Meanwhile, Chelsea might join the race later as they’re not as far along in negotiations as the other clubs. It will be interesting to see whether the Blues ramp up their interest in the teenager to continue having top elite young talent.
