Paris Saint-Germain could see midfielder Carlos Soler on the move this summer, based on recent reports.
Soler, who’s found himself in a rotational role at the capital club, might be looking for more playing time, especially since he didn’t make Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 squad.
The 27-year-old has played in 26 matches during the 2023-24 season across all competitions for the French club, scoring once and providing four assists. Despite his limited playing time, teams are interested in the former Valencia standout.
Le Parisien reports (h/t Get French Football) that the current Ligue 1 champions aim to offload Soler during this transfer window. Earlier this summer, Aston Villa, set to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season, were strongly linked with the Spaniard.
However, the French media outlet now indicates that Brighton and Hove Albion, who have shown interest in the former Valencia midfielder before, remain interested and could make a move this summer.
Last month, Cadena COPE reported that PSG and Real Sociedad are still discussing Soler and that the deal shouldn’t surpass €15 million.
