Bayern Munich are plotting a double swoop of two talented players that could affect Paris Saint-Germain and other top European clubs if their transfer plan is successful.

Recent June reports suggest that Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly interested in Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué. Last week, L’Equipe revealed that Chelsea are ready to rival Tottenham, Bayern Munich and PSG for Doué too.

Moreover, the Bavarian side, along with Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Manchester City, have been linked to PSG’s Xavi Simons.

Last month, L’Equipe reported that all these clubs have contacted PSG to explore the possibility of signing Simons this summer. Now, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich are in advanced talks with Rennes and Doué – but PSG is still there in the race for the teenager.

The information also reveals that the German club will make a second offer soon to Rennes. The Ligue 1 side are currently asking for €60 million plus add-ons for Doué. Additionally, Plettenberg reveals that Bayern Munich want both Simons and Doué with manager Vincent Kompany also calling Doué in recent days.

Doué had a standout 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games and racking up four goals and six assists in all competitions for Rennes. Meanwhile, Simons made a significant impact during his loan spell at RB Leipzig last season, featuring in 43 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and registering 15 assists.
