Athletic Club’s Nico Williams has been in the rumor mill as the 22-year-old could depart the Spanish side this summer. Williams’ profile has risen, especially after his impressive performance at UEFA Euro 2024, where he played a crucial role in Spain winning the tournament.
Last month, a report from CaughtOffside revealed that Williams has caught the attention of several top clubs. Those interested are Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Additionally, Mario Cortegana from The Athletic reported that PSG have already contacted Williams’ camp to explore the possibility of a deal. The Parisians’ push for the winger is making Barcelona uncomfortable.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona fears PSG in the Williams case as the capital club are seen as a serious competitor with more significant financial power. The Spanish outlet also reports that player is expected to make a decision about his future soon.

Barcelona midfielder Pedri recently stated his desire for Williams to join the Spanish giants this summer.
“I don’t have the answer to that question,” Pedri said. “What is clear is that it would be a great signing for Barça. The Euro has shown what he is capable of.”
